Welcome! I am so delighted that you have decided to bring custom artwork into your home! I have a limited number of open slots for commissions, and will review your application once received (form below) and get back to you on timeline, and process.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

Gather Inspiration

The best place to start is to look at original artworks on my website. Explore which pieces are your favorites so I can incorporate similar elements into your artwork. I also love to see the room you’ll hang the art in so I can complement the space with my use of color and shape.  Another reference I use are photographs from a trip, special occasion or a cherished memory if you wish to share.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and submit your request for a custom artwork. Once filled out, I will get back to you to set up a zoom call or meet with you in person. At this point I will guide you in choosing the size that fits best, discuss color palette and share my portfolio of original paintings so I can understand which of my works you enjoy. This meeting will be about 30 minutes to 1 hour. If both partners are a part of the commission process, I would love to have both of you be a part of the meetings to ensure the artwork speaks to both of you.

50% is due to reserve your place in my schedule and the remaining 50% is due after the artwork is completed. This deposit allows me to purchase materials and prepare for your specific artwork.

begin & Complete artwork

Before I begin on the work I will send over the list of details that we discussed in our early meeting for you to approve. After the design details are approved and we are all on the same page, I begin making the magic!

Artworks take typically 6-8 weeks to complete.  Once the work is complete to my artistic vision, I will schedule a zoom call to reveal, share and talk about the art. If there are any revisions that need to be worked in, this is the time we do it. An example of a revision is a color switch that makes the painting feel better for you. I will not modify the whole painting, but am open to changing minor elements if something is not speaking to you.

TESTIMONIALS

"Kristine is an INCREDIBLY talented artist whose bright, joyful art makes us smile every time we look at it! The second I saw a piece of hers that a friend of mine had bought, I knew I had to have one myself. Kristine is very quick to respond about any inquiries. I love following her on Instagram to see new pieces she creates and to watch her process. We can’t wait to add more Cooper Art and Abode masterpieces to our home!"

-Jessie Dye
