This is an acrylic on canvas original titled "What Love Is". The artwork measures  36"Hx48"Wx 1.5" D. The artworks are hand painted with Acrylic Paint and Mixed Media elements to create depth and textures. Douglas Fir wooden floater frame surrounds the artwork. Artwork arrives framed, signed and ready to hang up on the wall. I wired this piece both horizontally and vertically so you could enjoy it both directions!
 
The Inspiration
Love doesn’t expect, it just is. It doesn’t do things out of an expectation of something else to come, it simply exists. I’ve been thinking a lot about what unconditional love is, what it means to me and how it feels. When I was in my young 20s my motto was to live in unconditional love, and I let a lot of painful things into my life with a lack of boundaries and I held a lot of expectations of what others would give me by doing something for them. I’m finding the nuance of leaning into love, but also not losing myself at the same time. I don’t know if you can relate, or have felt like you’ve gone through times where you’ve been open to the world and then had something happen that closed you off. This painting is full of love, and the musings of how it’s messy, beautiful and a discovery all in itself.
