The Inspiration:
To ring in the new year boldly my partner and I signed up to do a yoga retreat with a group of people we didn’t know, but felt called to go. We stayed in a little fishing village called Pescadero right outside of Todos Santos in Baja, Mexico. My partner proposed to me, and we made new friends with the community. The trip was pure magic from the vibrant sunsets to the whales jumping in the expansive ocean. It’s hard to summarize in words what it felt like, which is why I created this painting, to capture the energy and wonder found in Baja.
