Unscripted
I began this work mid December, and finally completed it this Spring. There is A LOT of layers, a lot of paint and expression in this one and you can feel it viscerally when you sit with it. I have been reflecting a lot on my upbringing and growing up in my conservative Christian household wasn't me. It was scripted that I marry someone in college, pick the safe job and live the straight and narrow path. Well, I've got news. It's not me. I love the raw beauty of being human and not trying to present myself so others will approve of me. Unscripted is about loving who you genuinely are, not the mold that people want to see you fit into.
