When The Fog Lifts (Rainier)
When I lived in Seattle in my early 20s, I loved taking walks—as steep as they were—around different neighborhoods. Often, you would make it to the top of a hill and be able to look out at the whole city and see Mt. Rainier emerge, especially once the fog lifted. This painting is inspired by Mt. Rainier: the adventure and sense of play that this mountain brings to so many.
