The Inspiration
Earlier this spring, after a long day of travel, we pulled into our Joshua Tree campsite. After traveling with a toddler all day, it felt like the truest kind of rest. The air was warm enough to walk barefoot, crickets and desert sounds began to rise, and the sky shifted into deep blue and soft lavender hues. I wanted this painting to bring you into that evening, so you could feel like you were right there with us.
