The Inspiration
The high desert skies often turn candy-colored at sunrise and sunset, a fleeting wash of pinks, corals, and citrus light that feels both energizing and deeply calm. I’ve always found these moments restorative, like the landscape exhaling after a long day.
This painting captures the way those colors dissolve into the river’s surface — sky and water folding into one another. It holds the feeling of sitting waterside on a warm day, drink in hand, letting the light soak into your body.
