The Inspiration
"Held" began in a season of carrying more than I could name, and somewhere in that weight, I found myself painting a woman mid-sink, caught not by struggle but by the quiet buoyancy of the water around her. This piece is for anyone who needs reminding that even when life feels heavy, there's a place, a lake, a current, a held breath underwater, that will always rise to meet you.
