The Inspiration
"Sunrise Sister" is inspired from doing the trek up South Sister. We woke up before sunrise, and in the pitch black morning drove up the Cascades Highway to walk through a dreamy forest finally emerging at the peak several hours later. That crisp, cool morning and beautiful hike left an impression on my soul, and this piece carries that feeling.
